2013-2014 Permit Eligibility

Student permit eligibility is determined by the University and is based on credit hours and address (residence hall or off-campus). Permits may be upgraded during the year if either of these statuses change. First year students living in the residence halls will not be permitted to bring a vehicle to campus or purchase parking permit. The policy is necessary due to a continued increase in residence hall overnight parking requirements concurrent with reduced parking availability on campus.

Employee permit eligibility is determined by the University and is based on employment classification. Faculty and Administrative & Professional appointments are limited to the A permit class. Classified Civil Service Staff are limited to the B permit class. In an effort to provide flexibility, CampusParc provides a process to request an Upgrade/Downgrade in permit eligibility. Students

Students may purchase the following permits:

WC: Remote West Campus Surface Parking

Permit valid in unrestricted WC spaces. Off-Peak Central Campus Surface Lot access is provided.

WCE: Remote West Campus Surface Parking with Off-Peak Garage Access.

Permit has the same parking privileges a WC permit. In addition, Off-Peak Garage Access is provided.

CX: Remote Buckeye Lot Surface Parking

Permit has the same parking privileges as WC permit with the additional access to unrestricted Buckeye Lot CX spaces.

C: Central Campus Surface Lot Parking

Permit valid in any unrestricted C space. In addition, permit has the same parking privileges as CX Permit. Eligible to rank 3 and above.

CE: Central Campus Surface Parking with Off-Peak Garage Access.

Permit has the same parking privileges a C permit with additional Off-Peak Garage Access. Eligible to rank 3 and above.

CG: Central Campus Surface Parking with Off-Peak Garage Access.

Permit has the same parking privileges a C Permit. In addition, limited Garage Access is provided. Eligible to rank 3 and above.

Due to the limited supply, CG permits are issued in a lottery. For more information on application deadline dates click here.

CG1: Access at all times to Tuttle Park Place Garage.

CG2: Access at all times to 9th Avenue East and West Garages.

CG3: Access at all times to Ohio Union North and 11th Avenue Garages.

CG4: Access at all times to Lane, and West Lane Avenue Garages

WC5: Remote West Campus Surface Parking with Overnight Storage.

Permit has the same parking privileges a WC permit with additional Overnight Storage Access. Eligible to all ranks except first year.

CP: Central Campus Surface Parking with Off-Peak Garage Access.

CPS: Access at all times Access to 11th Avenue Garage.

Vehicles must be in the appropriate garage during Overnight hours.

Graduate Students With Appointments

In addition to the above, graduate students with appointments (GRA, GTA, GAA, and Fellows) have the option of purchasing a B, WB, or BE parking permit instead of a student permit. A limited number of Peak period BG garage permits to commuter graduate students who hold a paid appointment. If the student’s appointment paperwork has been submitted to CampusParc by the department prior to purchase, graduate students with appointments can purchase these permits on-line. If the paperwork has not been submitted, these permits may only be purchased by visiting the CampusParc Customer Service Center. A copy of the departmental appointment letter is needed at the time of purchase for verification purposes.

The following are requirements to purchase a staff garage permit:

Photocopy of your appointment letter, or departmental contract
Valid photo identification
OSU Employee ID Number
Vehicle Information (make and license plate)
Payment of any outstanding citations
Full permit payment

Faculty/AP

Faculty and Administrative & Professional appointments may purchase the following permits:

CX: Remote Buckeye Lot Surface Parking

Permit valid in unrestricted Buckeye Lot CX, WA, WB, and WC spaces. Off-Peak Central Campus Surface Lot access is provided.

WA: Remote West Campus Surface Parking with Off-Peak Garage Access.

Permit has the same parking privileges as CX permit with the addition of Off-Peak Garage Access.

A: Central Campus Surface Parking with Garage Access.

Permit valid in any unrestricted A, B, or C space and Garage Access. In addition, permit has the same parking privileges as WA and CX Permits.

Staff

Classified Civil Service appointments may purchase the following permits:

WB: Remote West Campus Surface Parking

Permit valid in unrestricted WB or WC spaces. Off-Peak Central Campus Surface Lot access is provided.

CX: Remote Buckeye Lot Surface Parking

Permit has the same parking privileges as WB permit with the additional access to Buckeye Lot CX spaces.

B: Central Campus Surface Parking

Permit valid in any unrestricted B, or C space. In addition, permit has the same parking privileges as WB and CX Permits.

BE: Central Campus Surface Parking with Off-Peak Garage Access.

Permit has the same parking privileges a B permit with additional Off-Peak Garage Access.

BG: Central Campus Surface Parking with Peak Hour Garage Access.

Permit has the same parking privileges a B Permit. In addition, limited Peak Hour Garage Access is provided.

Due to the limited supply, BG parking permits for garages are sold on a seniority basis to staff who apply. For more information on application deadline dates click here.

BG2: Access at all times to 9th Avenue East and West Garages.

BG3: Access at all times to 11th Avenue, and Ohio Union North Garages.
